This could be where the Mississippi River is in its grandest form, opening
up fishing and rafting opportunities like no others. But the state also
boasts parks and trails that are tough to rival, including a number
of Native American trails.
When north, travel on on the Natchez Trace Parkway. When south, check
out Delta National Forest, Vicksburg National Military Park and the
huge DeSoto National Forest.
Some of the coolest sightseeing spots are the restored mansions from
the plantation era. Also, don't forget that the state does touch the
Gulf of Mexico, for ocean adventure.
